This Spicy Aioli recipe is so easy to execute and you will feel like a saucier after you have made your first sauce. This was my first sauce that I made at home and this is still my favourite! Now if you are ambitious, you can whip up some homemade mayonnaise as a base for this recipe. Even if you don’t, this homemade spicy aioli is better than any store-bought spicy aioli sauces I have ever had. Whenever I make this sauce, I make sure to add it to everything! You’ll get a couple of ideas later on in this post, so be sure to keep reading!

Is Aioli Spicy?▼
Well, yes it is spicy, or else it wouldn’t be called spicy mayo! However, I would not dismiss this sauce as just spicy. There are many more dimensions to this sauce. For example, it is a fairly creamy sauce from the mayo, especially if you’re using Japanese mayonnaise. The lemon or lime juice used also adds some tanginess to balance out the spiciness from the Sriracha sauce. Of course, you can always add more or less heat depending on your preferences. You can increase the Sriracha ratio or by adding smoked paprika, cayenne, chilli powder, or even a few dashes of your favourite hot sauce, if desired.
