A Plate From Every Nation
The FIFA World Cup 2026 is here. It’s hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico for the first time ever. You can taste the world without leaving your kitchen by following these recipes! The most iconic tournament in the world with 32 nations featured means one signature dish for every team still fighting for the trophy.
The concept is simple: one plate per nation, chosen to represent the country’s food culture as honestly as I can manage. I’m starting with the three host countries, which are the USA, Canada, and Mexico, and then I’ll e working through the contenders that earned their spot on the pitch. Some of these are deep dives into cuisines I’ve been exploring for years; a few are recipes I cooked specifically for this collection. One honest gap: Morocco keeps over-performing every tournament and while I do have a Moroccan recipe that you can make, my One-Pot Moroccan Chicken and Chickpea Stew, it may be a bit too hot at this time of year for that!
Whether you’re hosting a watch party, grazing through matches solo, or just looking for dinner inspiration from somewhere new, this is your world tour. Scroll through, pick your team (or your appetite), and let’s get cooking!
Your Hosts
The Contenders
Twelve nations, twelve plates. Honestly, cooking through this collection reminded me why I love food as a way to connect with the world, even though I’m not so big on watching the games! Every dish here carries a story, a culture, and tons of flavor in their own way. The World Cup brings billions of people together for 90 minutes at a time. If you try these recipes, then they’re are a way to keep that feeling alive long after the final whistle.
If you try any of the recipes in this collection, I would genuinely love to know what you think! Ratings make a huge difference! A quick star rating on any recipe page helps others find the dishes that are worth making, and it tells me which ones to keep creating. Please leave a comment, drop a rating, or tag me on social media @cooking.with.anadi with the hashtag #cookingwithanadi so I can see your creations from around the world. Here’s to great football and even better food. 🌍🏆
