Supreme Grilled Végépâté Burger

Hey everyone! Végépâté is something I've stumbled across in Canada and I fell absolutely in love with it! I typically used to use it as a spread for sandwiches, but one day I was feeling daring and wondered how végépâté would taste like cooked and grilled as a burger patty. You guessed it, this supreme végépâté burger turned out to be extremely delicious, one of the best burgers ever! If you're looking for a new way to enjoy veggie burgers, I highly recommend picking up some végépâté and trying out this recipe. Enjoy!

  1. Form the végépâté  into a patty making sure it is even, compressed so it does not break.
  2. Heat a grill pan on medium heat and brush with oil.
  3. Carefully place patty on the grill and cook for 2 minutes on each side until it has grill marks.
  4. When you flip the patty, top cheese and cook for a further 2 minutes.
  5. In the meanwhile, toast your buns under the broiler or on a greased pan.
  6. Layer the bottom bun with tomatoes, grilled végépâté, onion and green chilies to top it off. Serve hot and enjoy!
  • 110g Végépâté (I prefer the Fontaine Santé brand)
  • 2 Slices of Tomato
  • 2 Thinly Sliced Onion Ring
  • 2 t Olive Oil
  • Green Chilies, chopped (optional)
  • 2 T Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
  • 1 Burger Bun
  • 1 Servings Oven Baked Fries
