Quick and Versatile Marinara Sauce

  1. Put the tomatoes in a food processor and pulse for a few seconds and break down the tomatoes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan.
  3. Mince garlic and add to pan, then add chilli flakes to taste.
  4. Add in the pureed tomatoes, salt and pepper to taste. Cook on medium heat until your sauce reduces and has a thick consistency. Serve hot and enjoy :)

Hey everyone! This quick and versatile marinara sauce will easily become your new go-to marinara sauce for all of your Italian favourites!

In this recipe I show how I make my favourite go-to marinara sauce. It takes only about 15 minutes to make and can be paired with any of your favourite Italian dishes such as spaghetti and meatballs, a meatball sandwich, or chicken parmesan. The added kick with this marinara sauce is the chilli flakes I add to give it some spice, which I particularly love in a sauce. Of course, you can omit this part if you or those whom you are cooking for don't enjoy spice in their marinara sauce. The flavours from the garlic and tomatoes alone will still create an amazing and aromatic sauce you'll be sure to enjoy!

Yields about  2 cups

  • 1 28-OZ Can San Marzano type tomatoes
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • Red chilli flakes to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
