Fresh Homemade Garam Masala

Hey everyone! Garam masala is such an essential spice in Indian cooking, used in all of your favourite curries. You can definitely enhance them even more by making this spice right from home whenever you'd like! And it'll make a big batch so you'll have plenty for later! Enjoy!

  1. Heat a pan on medium heat and add the spices onto the pan and roast for about 4 minutes, making sure to shake the pan every 15 seconds to ensure the spice don't burn. Roasting helps intensify the flavours in the spices. Then let the spices cool for 15 minutes.
  2. Once the spices have cooled, grind in a blender. Sift it to make it even finer and enjoy!
  • 50 G Cumin seeds
  • 20 G Coriander seeds
  • 12 G Black cardamom
  • 6 3-inch Pieces cinnamon
  • 10 G Whole cloves or ground cloves
  • 17 G Whole black peppercorns
