Easy Family-Style Baked Spaghetti Casserole

Hey everyone! I have to say that baked spaghetti is a simple and quick pasta dinner for weeknights, perfect for making in bulk for the family!

This baked spaghetti recipe takes the simple joys of melted cheese with tomato sauce on spaghetti with a fun twist - the pasta, the sauce, and the cheese get infused together in a casserole baked in the oven! This has become a dish I definitely crave, and the basil definitely completes the dish.

Here I'm showing you a basic version, but I've also made this adding chicken and sausage. Go for additional protein if you like, it'll blow you away. Enjoy this amazing baked spaghetti that is absolutely effortless to prepare!

I would love to hear your feedback

  1. Preheat the oven at 400 F.
  2. Cook your pasta as per package directions. Make sure to cook the pasta until it is al dente. The pasta should not be fully cooked as it will continue to cook in the oven.
  3. Drain the water from your pasta when it has cooked. Add your pasta back into the pot followed by the marinara sauce, and mix well.
  4. Add in half of the mozzarella cheese and all of your basil leaves, stir (you can reserve some basil for garnish later).
  5. Pour the mixture into your casserole dish, top with the remaining cheese. Cover and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Cook uncovered for the last 10 until the cheese is bubbly. Serve hot and enjoy :)

  • 8 OZ Spaghetti
