Crispy Cheesy Chicken Parm Sandwich

Hey everyone, this crispy and cheesy chicken parm sandwich was a recipe long time coming but I'm happy to finally be sharing this recipe which I'm super pleased with! This is a ridiculously easy recipe which is so packed of flavour and crunch. While I'll be shallow-frying the chicken here, you could modify it by baking the chicken instead.

I hope you enjoy this satisfying chicken parm sandwich! As you see in the video, this surely put a smile on my face, and it will definitely bring you joy as well!

I would love to hear your feedback

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven at 425 F.
  2. Slice the chicken breast in half and flatten using a meat tenderizer or using a rolling pin in between two pieces of plastic wrap.
  3. Season your breadcrumbs with salt, pepper and Italian seasoning.
  4. Bread the chicken in the flour. Coat each side and shake off any excess flour. Dip your chicken in the egg, coating each side and letting the excess drip off. Then, put it on the plate with your breadcrumbs. Turn and coat the other side and press on your chicken to ensure the breadcrumbs are evenly coated. Repeat on the opposite side.
  5. Heat your oil on medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken. Cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side or until both the sides are golden brown.
  6. Transfer your chicken onto a wire rack. Add the marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese. Bake until the cheese is melted and slightly golden brown.
  7. While your chicken is in the oven, toast your sandwich buns. Once the chicken is done, place the chicken between the buns. Serve hot and enjoy :)
