Chocolate M&M Pancakes

Hey everyone! These fantastic berry explosion pancakes are sure to be tons of fun to make and eat! Get crazy with your favourite berries and take advantage of throwing in a ton of fruits in this nutritious and fun breakfast this morning! Forget traditional unhealthy pancakes, these are jam-packed with antioxidants and they taste amazing!

I've included blueberries in the pancake batter but feel free to replace blueberries with any other kind of berry you want. I've topped them off with all other berries I had on me and some banana and maple syrup for additional sweetness. I'm sure you'll love the combination of all the berries together and some extra sweetness if you choose to add it. These berry explosion pancakes are guaranteed to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Makes 6

For the pancakes

  • 1/2 Cup All purpose flour
  • 1/4 Cup Whole wheat flour
  • 1 T Baking powder
  • 1/4 Cup Cocoa powder
  • 1 Cup Water or milk (I used water)
  • 3 T Honey
  • 1 Egg
  • M&Ms


  1. Preheat an oven to 200 F.
  2. Heat a pan on medium heat with some oil or butter.
  3. Pour 1/4 cup of your batter onto the pan. Sprinkle the M&Ms on your pancake.
  4. When bubbles start to appear and the underside has become golden brown, flip the pancake.
  5. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Transfer your pancake onto a baking sheet and keep it warm in your oven.
  7. Repeat steps 3-6 for the remainder of your batter.
  8. Sprinkle some more M&Ms and your other favourite toppings such as maple syrup and bananas and serve warm. Enjoy!
