Chocolate Chip Campfire S'mores Oatmeal with Graham Crackers - Cooking with Anadi

Hey everyone! Everyone loves the goodness from gooey and creamy s'mores - roasted marshmallows and those amazing crunchy graham crackers. Since s'mores are so amazing, here is a super fun oatmeal recipe that will be a terrific way to get your day started! You know if I'm going on the sweet end of breakfast I just go all out in "breakfast for dessert!"  Here's a secret: I love to eat graham crackers on their own as a snack!

This recipe is super exciting because you'll get that awesome campfire feeling with your morning oats. I have a fondue machine so I can make s'mores right from home which is so enjoyable! Here I just roasted some jumbo marshmallows over the stove, but you can also toast them in the oven. I love the nice char from the marshmallows and that flavour just seeps into the rest of the oatmeal! It wouldn't truly be s'mores without some chocolatey goodness, so get out your chocolate chips and chocolate syrup for a truly wonderful breakfast. Enjoy!

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 jumbo marshmallows (or a 4-6 smaller marshmallows)  
  • 1 tbsp chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp chocolate syrup 
  • 1 graham cracker, crumbled
  • 1 tbsp honey
  1. In a pot, bring the oats and milk to a simmer. Once the oats have cooked, add the honey and chocolate chips. 
  2. While the oats cook, roast the marshmallows over the stove or toast them in the oven. 
  3. Transfer the oatmeal mixture into a bowl and carefully place the marshmallows on top. Finish with a drizzle of chocolate syrup and sprinkle the graham crackers. Serve hot and enjoy!
