Crispy and Soft Oven-Baked Cajun Fries

Hey everyone! Here are my favourite Cajun fries! I love pairing these fries with any burger and use these as a base for super cheesy fries. Also, I could honestly devour them all on their own - I snack on so many as they're baking! The texture of these fries is absolutely incredible, and trust me that they are so satisfying. Enjoy your new go-to homemade fries recipe today!

  • 1 lb russet potato
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Cajun seasoning
  1. Preheat the oven to 425 F. Wash your potatoes and cut them into 1/4 inch sticks. Once all of the potatoes have been cut, fill a large bowl with water and add the fries into the bowl. Let them soak for 25-30 minutes.
  2. Drain the potatoes and pat them dry using paper towel. Place the fries into a bowl and season with salt, cajun seasoning and olive oil.
  3. Line a baking tray with a sheet of parchment paper and place the fries on the parchment paper one-by-one. Ensure the fries dont touch each other so that they cook evenly. Place the tray in the oven and cook for 25-30 minutes.
  4. After the fries have baked for 25-30 minutes, take the baking tray out of the oven and flip the fries, and continue cooking for another 15-20 minutes, or until the fries are crispy on the outside and soft inside. Serve hot and enjoy with burgers, a cheesy topping, or alone!
