Mango Chocolate Chip Pancakes | Breakfast Recipe

Hey everyone, this recipe will show you how to make delicious chocolate chip pancakes with a sweet mango puree as a topping! The chocolate chip pancakes are pretty standard to what I've made before, but you'll for sure love the combination of chocolate and mango to satisfy your sweet tooth! This combination works great for overnight oats too, which you can read here!

Serves: 1 (3 pancakes)


Pancake batter:
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour 
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon 
  • Milk
  • Chocolate chips to taste
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Optional: 1 egg
Mango puree:
  • 1/2 cup mangoes
  • Milk as needed
  1. Preheat an oven to 200 F.
    1. Heat a pan on medium heat with some oil or butter.
    2. Pour 1/4 cup of your batter onto the pan. 
    3. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on your pancake.
    4. When bubbles start to appear and the underside has become golden brown, flip the pancake. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for 1-2 minutes. 
    5. Transfer your pancake onto a baking sheet and keep it warm in your oven. Repeat steps 3-6 for the remainder of your batter.
    6. To make the mango puree, add the mangoes into a blender or food processor and gradually add milk as needed until you've reached a thick but pour able consistency. 
    7. Lay out your pancakes on a plate and pour your puree over the top and add additional chocolate chips. Serve hot and enjoy :)
