Apple Banana Chocolate Chip Stovetop Oats | Breakfast Recipe

Hey everyone, here is another simple variation of stovetop oats I made using apples and bananas and some cinnamon for an extra punch. While this was light and delicious, I want to caramelize the fruits next time for some more sweetness, as I found there wasn't quite enough for my taste! I'm sure you'll enjoy so let me know if you've tried this simple yet quick and delicious recipe out!

Serves: 1 hungry person

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 banana
  • Honey to taste
  • 1/2 apple sliced thinly 
  • Cinnamon to taste 
  • Chocolate or chocolate chips to taste
  1. Put the oats in a pot and add milk. Let it come to a simmer and when it starts to thicken and reaches the consistency you like, turn off the heat and add vanilla extract. 
  2. Transfer your oatmeal into a bowl. Add in the honey, slices of banana, slices of apple, cinnamon, and chocolate or chocolate chips. Enjoy :)
